Florist extraordinaire Sarah Ryanen and her mother Susan make their line of Saipua soaps at their Farm at World's End not far from our property. Coincidentally, we have been a longtime supporter of Sarah Ryanen when we frequented her beautiful and bountiful floral shop/studio, Saipua, in Red Hook, Brooklyn years back. Her hand-crafted soaps are one of our best-selling items at the Farm Shop. There are ample varieties to choose from, so a little something for everyone.
This unscented soap is perfect for those sensitive to essential oils, yet remains soft and moisturizing. Calendula, in the daisy family, is a medicinal herb and helps reduce inflammation; its antioxidant properties help eradicate free radicals.
Ingredients include saponified oils of olive, sunflower, coconut, and castor, with shea butter and ground calendula petals.
Saipua means “soap” in Finnish, a nod to Sarah's heritage, the tradition of Sauna; the brand is devoted to the dual artisrty of flower arranding and soap-making.
